Does Doing Workout Cures Hangover?

Hangover suffering man close up portrait with bottles of beer. Alcoholism concept.
I am a 31-year-old male and I consume alcohol every weekend. I always drink so much alcohol that I have a hangover the next morning. I go to the regular gym and some of my friends say that doing a workout in a hangover is quite right. Is that really so? Can a hangover be overcome by exercising? Are there any side effects?

We spoke to Roshni Shah, a fitness expert at Mumbai-based V Fitness Studio. They reported that the liver metabolizes certain amounts of alcohol during workouts. In a one-hour workout, the liver can metabolize 290 mL of beer or 140 mL of wine. But if you have consumed alcohol more than the metabolized rate of the liver, then your problems may increase because in such conditions, alcohol starts accumulating in your blood. The amount of alcohol that cannot be dissolved by the liver is excreted through urine, urine, and breath. So when you drink a lot of alcohol sometimes, the next day your whole body, even clothes, smells of alcohol.

Many times when you start doing intense workout exercises the next morning after drinking too much, the situation gets worse. When you work out, due to alcohol, the kidneys start excreting excess amount of urine, due to which you become dehydrated in a short time. Apart from this, your body also starts sweating excessively, which is one of the main reasons for dehydration. So it is better that you never do a workout in case of a hangover. There are many other home remedies you can try to get rid of a hangover.
