No matter how much you blame Millennials because of their thinking and their lifestyle, but when it comes to marriage, the youth prefer to arrange marriage. And 1500 matrimonial websites are running all over the country, they are proof of this fact. A recent survey shows that 65% of the youth still trust Arrange Marriage.
Now take the list that works in my office. She is a modern-day girl, self-sufficient, lives alone in Delhi, lives her own life. She also goes to the pub and wears designer clothes too. But if you are married, it does not say that the marriage will be done on its own. Rather she says that the job of finding a boy is with the parents.
After all, what is the reason that even the self-sufficient girls of today are getting married at the will of their parents?
The mindset is that ‘Mommy Papa understands better’
What is good for their child and what is bad, these parents start thinking before they are born. This is their priority. Then years of experience, understanding relationships, they know better than children. So daughters always trust parents. In many cases, it also happens that daughters are so emotional to their parents that they do not want to be offended by telling them about their love affair. So if the boy does not give assurance to the girl for marriage, then she does not hurt her parents for that. And she marries on the will of her parents, with the belief that whatever she chooses for her, she will choose well.
Not finding the right guy at the right time
Today, girls focus more on their careers and they are getting full support from parents too. In such a situation, she becomes so serious about her career that it takes time for herself to stand up. Some girls also have the responsibility of family, due to which they delay their marriage. Today, even at the age of 30, girls are single. And even after 30, if they think about dating, then they have difficulty in getting boys of their level and age. Then the girls rely on the parents for marriage that according to them, they can find the same good boy.
A bad relationship
Nowadays, having an affair is not a unique thing. So if the girl is in a relationship with a boy, and there is a breakup between the two due to any reason, then it is very natural that the girl leaves everything and marries at the will of her parents. Once deceived in love, she is afraid to trust someone else, then her trust in the parents becomes stronger. The girl feels that she has failed to choose a good boy for herself. But whatever parents do, they will do right.
