When you are in love, you feel that your beloved is unique. This belief is associated with an inability to feel romantic passion for someone else. Fisher and his colleagues believe that this single-brain originates from elevated levels of central dopamine – a chemical that concentrates and concentrates in your brain.

People in love regularly display symptoms of emotion dependence on their relationship, including fullness, jealousy, fear of rejection, and separation anxiety. For instance, Fisher and his colleagues looked at the minds of individuals who saw pictures of a rejected person, or someone they were still in love with after being rejected by that person. Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) showed activation in several regions of the brain, including regions such as the foregut gyrus that have been shown to play a role in cocaine craving. “The activation of areas involved in cocaine addiction may help explain obsessive behaviors associated with rejection in love,”
